Little-miss was on fire today! After I got Caleb up and off to school this morning, she headed down for breakfast, ready to take on the day!
We headed out after a quick breakfast and one cuddly episode of Super Why, cuz it's not a school day so bring on the morning cartoons!
First it was a stop to pick up some ice packs a neighbor was giving away- I'm currently using frozen baby teething rings as ice packs in grace's lunch so that's just embarrassing... ;)
Then, we were off to Target to find some soccer gear! We found a pink and purple size 3 soccer ball, some hot pink and purple sneakers, two athletic jackets in black grey pink and...yeah...purple, and some gloves and a beanie cuz it's weirdly cold in AZ right now. Since we got hand me down shin guards from her cousin Everett (thanks buddy!), she was now set for her first soccer practice later in the evening.
Before we could head to soccer, we had to first ROCK swim lessons. Both kids did great today. Little man did some floating again today and was just beyond happy to be in the water:

Grace was ready to tackle the full length of freestyle without help today. Last week Mr. Brandon told her that if she kept at it she might be able to level up and get a medal soon. She was determined! She knew she had to slow her arms down and keep them straighter and she definitely made it happen today! Little lady graduated to Silver 2 today and she now is able to participate in (pre-competition) swim meets!!!! I think she'll really like doing meets so I'm excited to see how that goes. I'm also stoked that she gets to try backstroke in Silver 2! Woo!!!

After swim lessons we went home for quiet time, relaxed a bit, then played with the new soccer ball in the front yard for a bit after trying on the new soccer gear. She was READY to try this whole soccer thing!
As soon as daddy got home we jumped in the van and met Team Union at the park down the street! I can't handle the cuteness that is 4 year old soccer. I just can't. Too much cuteness!!!

She did great! There were some misses. There was the occasional distraction or run over to mom and dad to give kisses in the middle of a drill. There was some significant forgetting of which goal to aim for. But mostly there was cuteness.
